My core tools are:

design, technology & photography

I use them in search of the story and the best way to tell it…

Design

I began my design practice in my early twenties, newly graduated from Parsons. Over the years I have found that every project takes a different approach. The look of our world influences how we feel and interact with it. Conversations that help us understand the who and the why are the most important in creating design that tells its intended story.

Technology

I first tried a virtual reality headset at a conference a number of years ago. It struck me how private, and seemingly limitless it was. It was freeing.

This led me to start my path in grad school, exploring the current and the future horizons of technology and design. I have learned the limits and frustrations of VR and physical tech. The technical complexities and financial barriers are one of those frustrations. My missions is to create work that can side-step some of those barriers yet still providing expressions of deep connection and meaning. Keep it simple, stupid, for the rest of us!

Photography

I have been shooting since I was a teenager, and messing around in darkrooms for just as long. Today I primarily use digital tools, and see image making as a core skill in my storytelling language. Pictures talk!
